SHARECROP: DELTA COTTON (Stack Stories LLC, 2017) is a short film that reveals aspects of cotton sharecropping in the Mississippi Delta through the experiences of Sylvester Hoover.
Born in 1957 near Money, MS, Hoover worked in the cotton fields throughout his childhood. His family struggled for economic survival and civil rights. The Hoovers nevertheless maintained their family’s cohesion and hopes for the future.
